We
at Peach State Orchids take great care in
packaging and shipping our orchids. While
some nurseries may rush to get their orders
shipped, we take extra time to make sure our
plants make it to you unharmed.
Shipping Policies
Weather permitting, we can ship plants via FedEx
or UPS 2nd Day Service or via USPS Priority
Mail. Currently, the default shipping method for
orders placed through the website using PayPal
is USPS Priority Mail. If you would like to ship
via FedEx or UPS please submit your order via
email or by calling the greenhouse during normal
business hours;
please click here to contact us. We will then calculate your
shipping costs and email you an invoice. We will
require payment via credit card before we ship.
We also accept checks, but we will hold orders
until your check clears, unless you are an
established customer.
We generally ship orders on Monday or Tuesday of
each week. Orders received after Tuesday 10:00
am EST will be shipped the following Monday or
Tuesday. In extreme weather, we may hold
shipments until the weather clears. See
Guaranteed Delivery below for more information.
We charge a flat rate of $8.50 to ship a single
plant anywhere in the continental United States
via USPS Priority Mail. We do not ship overseas.
In most cases we can combine multiple plants in
one shipment. We charge a flat rate fee of $3.50
for each additional plant. For large plants or
plants in bud we may not be able to combine
shipping. We do not charge an additional
packaging fee; the flat rate fee is all
inclusive.
Same day shipping is available for an additional
cost. Customers have the choice of Fedex
Standard Overnight for a Fedex upgrade charge of
$23.00; Fedex Priority Overnight for a Fedex
upgrade charge of $30.00; or Fedex Priority
Saturday delivery (where available) for a Fedex
upgrade charge of $38.00. Standard Overnight or
Saturday delivery are not available in rural
areas.
Guaranteed Delivery
We ship our plants
in pots to minimize plant stress. We take great
care in packing our plants, but since weather
conditions vary dramatically based on location
and season, flowers and buds are not guaranteed
to arrive intact. If the shipper severely
damages the box, harming your plants, please
contact the carrier immediately, file a claim
with them and notify us within 48 hours.
We cannot be held responsible for delivery
delays related to circumstances beyond our
control (natural disasters, inclement weather,
extreme heat or cold, acts of terrorism, etc.).
FedEx and UPS do not guarantee perishables. If
you live in an area that experiences extremely
cold or hot weather, we cannot be held
responsible for damage due to either extreme
heat or cold. Generally, we will not ship to
your area if we are aware of adverse weather
conditions.
We offer insulated winter packaging for shipping
to cold areas. Weather conditions will be
checked and it may be determined that the
insulated wrap is necessary to aide in the safe
arrival of our product. We will charge a $2.50
fee for single insulated wrap and $5.00 for
double insulated wrap. When shipping to an area
that is below 30 degrees, we may recommend
holding the shipment. We can also include a 72
hour heat pack with your order for an additional
charge of $3.50.
Damaged
Shipments
In the event that
damage is evident upon receipt of an order,
please keep all packing material and plants and
report the damage to us within 48 hours of
receipt. Our shipper may require proof of the
damaged items. We may also request the return of
damaged items. Failure to report damage within
48 hours of receipt of order voids our
guarantee.
We will refund or replace damaged product when
the above criteria is met. We will file a claim
with our carriers for any damage, but shipping
costs are not refundable unless the claim is
honored. If you choose replacement plants,
additional shipping charges may be applicable.
Arizona
Shipments
Due to Arizona
State Agricultural Inspection Regulations
additional charges apply to shipments made to
Arizona. Please contact us for additional information.
Availability
All offerings are
subject to availability and prices are subject
to change without notice. During holiday periods
or special occasions we advise you to place your
orders early because supply is not unlimited.
Our suggestion is two weeks or more. We will do
everything in our power to ensure that you get
your first choice but in the unlikely event that
the plants you want are no longer available we
may have to substitute or contact you to suggest
alternatives. If you are ordering less than one
week before a special occasion we recommend that
you nominate a second choice.
Packaging Charges
All
orders are subject to a $1.50 packaging charge,
which covers the cost of the packaging
materials.
