Peach State Orchids is Georgia's
oldest and largest orchid nursery. We have been
in the business since 1989, originally operating
as JEMMCO Orchids in South Carolina, and then as
Peach State Orchids after moving to Atlanta in
1992. In 2007, one of the original owners of
Peach State retired and the business is now run by
Barbara and her new business partner under new
ownership / management. We carry nearly every
major genera of orchids, including Bulbophyllum,
Catasetum, Cattleya, Cirrhopetalum, Dendrobium,
Encyclia, Laelia, Lycaste, Masdevallia,
Maxillaria, Miltonia, Odontoglossum,
Phalaenopsis, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium,
Oncidium and Vandas. We have a large selection
of species as well as many hybrids ranging in
size from seedlings to blooming size plants.
Please visit our
catalog of a sample of our orchids
available online.
For many years, the business was primarily
wholesale, and we still proudly supply many
local retail and wholesale florists as well as
select garden centers. In recent years, however,
we have refocused our efforts on servicing the
retail market, with an emphasis on the hobbyist.
We have also expanded into supplying specimen
plants for special events and corporate leasing.
We are active participants in local orchid
shows, including the
Atlanta Orchid Society
show, the Alabama Orchid Society show and
Orchid
Daze at the
Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
We are located approximately 35 miles northeast
of Atlanta in the Hickory Flat area. Hickory
Flat is located in the southeastern corner of
Cherokee County, where Woodstock, Roswell and
Alpharetta meet. We are easily accessible from
either highway 575 or 400, and
directions can be
found here. Our business hours
are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and
from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays. We are also open
by appointment. Please, don't hesitate to
contact us
with any questions you might have.
